Over the past few years we have worked with a few different campaign donation platforms and are often asked for our opinion on which service to use. We have typically favored online donation platforms that are oriented toward political fundraising due to the laws governing campaign contributions. For example, candidates generally must collect certain information from donors, including employer and occupation. There are also often limits on contributions from individuals and its best to use a donation platform that will allow you to customize the form itself to meet your jurisdiction's campaign contribution requirements.
When you are writing the content for your campaign website, keep in mind that you are writing for two audiences: potential voters and search engines. Writing for potential voters should come naturally. You are running for office for specific reasons.
